1- How do I calculate the Cubic Meters of my Air freight shipment?

In order to calculate the cubic meters of your shipment you will need the Length in CM the Width in CM and Height in CM. The calculation is as follows:

(L” x W’ x H”) / 1000000 = Cubic Meters

Volume Weight = (Cubic Meters X 1000) / 6

Chargeable Weight = the higher record between the Volume Weight and the Gross weight.

For Example:

1 Case 18 Kg with dimensions of  60”L x 58”W x 48”H

(60” x 58” x 48”) / 1000000 = 0.16704 CBM

Volume Weight = ( 0.16704 X 1000) / 6 = 27.84 Kg

Chargeable Weight = 27.84 Kg

2- What are my options for Full Container’s (FCL)

There are primarily three options for shipping FCL cargo.

a)      20 Ft. Container

b)      40 Ft. Container

c)      40 Ft. High Cube Container

* Please contact us regarding any specialized equipment which would include 20’ or 40’ Flat Racks and 40’ Open Top Containers

** Please also contact us concerning any questions as to weight limits for FCL loads, it will vary depending on where the cargo is originating.

3- How will I be quoted on my Full Container Load (FCL) Shipment?

FCL Shipments are quoted a flat price based on the size of the equipment / container, the commodity you are shipping and the destination you are shipping to.

4- What are my options for loading and delivery for my Full Container Load?

There are primarily three options you would have for loading your container:

a)      You can arrange to pick up the empty container at the closest terminal and return it fully loaded.

b)      Live Load: This would entail on-carriage  using one of our truckers to pull the empty container at the closest terminal. The container would then be brought to your facility and the driver would wait there with the container as you load it. Upon completion of the container being loaded the driver would bring the loaded Container back to the terminal for further transport to its final destination.

c)      Drop and Pick: This would entail the same as the above, but the trucker would drop the container off at your facility and come back for the loaded container two business days after.

1) Please note that a drop and pick is more expensive than a Live Load. The reason being is that a Drop and Pick involves two moves. Where as a live load involves only 1 move.

2) Please also note that a container can not be dropped unless you have an accessible fenced in facility. Containers can not be dropped on public streets.
